Zachraňte Nizozemský divadelní ústav
Po loňském zrušení Italského divadelního ústavu (ETI) hrozí zánik další významné evropské instituce.
30. května t.r. státní tajemník pro záležitosti kultury Nizozemí Halbe Zijlstra oznámil, že Nizozemský divadelní ústav (Theater Instituut Nederland – TIN) počínaje rokem 2013 neobdrží žádnou další finanční podporu ze strany státu. TIN je v současné době podporován státem z 65% svého celkového rozpočtu. Toto rozhodnutí by znamenalo zánik nejstaršího divadelního ústavu v Evropě. TIN vznikl v roce 1924 a v současnosti disponuje rozsáhlými sbírkami, dokumentací a archivy, které obsahují jak informace o současné nizozemské divadelní scéně, tak sahají až do 17. století. Mediatéku a on-line databáze TIN každodenně využívají studenti, badatelé i další profesionálové. Zrušení těchto aktivit by znamenalo nenahraditelnou ztrátu jak pro současné nizozemské divadlo, tak především pro uchování historie performing arts a kulturního dědictví obecně.
